Prayer is a foundational privilege in the life of SPCC and every Christian.

  • We make our decisions bathed in prayer
  • We believe God moves powerfully in response to our prayers
  • We pray as individuals
  • We pray in our Community life Groups
  • We pray in our Ministries
  • We pray as a church corporately on a weekly basis in our prayer night and community celebration worship services
  • We pray with the discipline of fasting whenever we have a crisis or are seeking Christ’s direction for the church

We believe a prayerless life is a self sufficient life.

Prayer declares our dependency upon Christ to lead, guide, empower and heal.

John 16:24 (NIV) Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete. 1 John 5:13-14 (NIV) This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.

James 5:14-15 (NIV) Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.
